HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT
Support
Here are answers to the most common questions about Clean Before Sharing.
How do I clean an image?
Choose a photo or import an image from Files, review the suggestions, then add any solid masks you need. Preview the cleaned copy, inspect the whole image and confirm before sharing.
Does it change my original photo?
No. The app exports a separate JPEG. Keep or delete your original in Photos or Files as you normally would.
Will it find every private detail?
No. Detection can miss information or suggest things that are not private. Check names, addresses, number plates, reflections, background objects and readable codes yourself.
Why use solid rectangles?
The selected regions are replaced with opaque pixels before the new image is encoded. The export is flattened, rather than keeping an editable overlay above the original pixels.
What happens to location information?
The export is newly encoded and does not copy the original EXIF or GPS metadata. Visible clues in the picture can still reveal a location, so inspect those too.
I shared an image to the extension. Where is it?
Select Clean Before Sharing from the share sheet to review and edit the image directly. Add covers, preview the result, and choose Share clean copy when you are ready.
How can I cover my own private terms?
In Settings, add words or phrases you want the app to suggest covering. You can review and change those terms whenever you need.
Which files are supported?
One still image at a time from Photos or Files. Images over 30 MB are rejected and the editing image is limited to 4096 pixels on its longest edge. PDF, video and batch editing are not supported.
Where are my previous edits?
There is no in-app image history. Save the cleaned copy through the share sheet if you want to keep it.
Can I delete my private terms?
Yes. Open Settings and clear the saved private terms. To clear a current image, start a new image or close the editing session.
